Julöppettider

Under julen har vi öppet som följer:

SOL- & LUX-biblioteket: 20/12: 9–16 | 27/12 & 30/12: 10–14 | 2–3/1: 10–16 resterande dagar till och med 6/1: stängt
Asienbiblioteket: 20/12: 10–13 | resterande dagar till och med 6/1: stängt.

På grund av semestrar kommer det att ta längre tid att få tag på fjärrlån och att få svar på frågor under denna period.

Kursböcker du lånar eller förnyar från och med 5 december 2019 får du behålla till och med 9 januari 2020!

Ny hylla för reserverade böcker på SOL

På SOL-biblioteket har vi gått över till att man själv hämtar sina reserverade böcker. De kan hämtas i en ny hylla vid sidan om lånedisken och lånas själv i automaten. Böckerna är uppställda på LU-kortets fyra sista siffror och tre bokstäver plockade ur ditt namn. På LUX-biblioteket skapas en sådan avhämtningshylla för reserverade böcker inom kort. Fjärrlån måste dock fjärrlån fortfarande hämtas i lånedisken.

Nytt avtal med Elsevier

Vi har nu åter ett avtal med Elsevier, efter att LU:s samtliga fakultetsbibliotek tackat ja till avtalsförslaget. I det nya avtalet ingår både läs- och publiceringsrättigheter. Avgifter för Open Access-publicering förskottsbetalas av deltagande organisationer. Det innebär att LU-forskare som är huvudförfattare till artiklar inte behöver betala någon publiceringsavgift i de tidskrifter som specificeras i avtalet. Detta gäller för artiklar inskickade från och med 1 januari 2020. Avtalet omfattar drygt 2 000 vetenskapliga tidskrifter från Elsevier och Cell Press samt alla rena OA-tidskrifter. Endast artiklar som skickats in till förlaget efter den 1 januari 2020 omfattas av avtalet.

HT-biblioteken har köpt Brill Encyclopedia of Early Christianity Online:

Brill Encyclopedia of Early Christianity Online focuses on the history of early Christian texts, authors, ideas. Its content is intended to bridge the gap between the fields of New Testament studies and patristics, covering the whole period of early Christianity up to 600 CE. The BEEC aims to provide a critical review of the methods used in Early Christian Studies and to update the historiography.

Månadens e-resurs december 2019 – East Germany from Stalinization to the New Economic Policy, 1950-1963

Trettio år efter Berlinmurens fall vill vi passa på att tipsa om arkivet East Germany from Stalinization to the New Economic Policy, 1950-1963. Det innehåller digitaliserade dokument från US State Department som rör Östtyskland, från 1950 till 1963 - perioden som leder fram till byggandet av muren samt första åren efter dess uppförande. Samlingen är ordnad kronologiskt och ämnesvis och innehåller en mängd olika typer av material, såsom rapporter om politiska och militära affärer, socioekonomiska studier och statistik, intervjuer, mötesrapporter, domstolsprotokoll och juridiska dokument, rapporter och översättningar från tidningar, viktiga brev och instruktioner, mottagna och sända av amerikansk diplomatisk personal.

Så här beskriver Gale kollektionen:

”this digital collection provides an in-depth look into the creation of the East German state, living conditions, and its people. Documents included in this collection are predominantly instructions to and despatches from U.S. diplomatic, and consular personnel regarding political, military, economic, social, industrial, and other internal conditions and events in East Germany.

The collection includes pages arranged topically and chronologically on crucial subjects, such as: political parties and elections; unrest and revolution; human rights; government; administration; fiscal and monetary issues; labor; housing; police and crime; public health; national defense; foreign policymaking; wars and alliances; education; religion; culture; trade; industry; and natural resources.”

E-resource of the month – December 2019 – East Germany from Stalinization to the New Economic Policy, 1950-1963

Thirty years after the fall of the Berlin wall, we would like to take the opportunity to promote the collection East Germany from Stalinization to the New Economic Policy, 1950-1963. It includes documents from the US State Department, concerning East Germany from 1950 to 1963 – the period leading up to the building of the wall and the first years of its existence. The collection is arranged chronologically and by topic, including a wide-range of materials, such as studies and statistics on socioeconomic matters, interviews, meeting reports, court proceedings and other legal documents, reports and translations from journals and newspapers, important letters and instructions sent and received by U.S. diplomatic personnel.
