Archiving Research Data

According to Swedish law, research data must be archived by the university. At this time, Lund University does not have a central technical solution for e-archiving. Local solutions are used until a central agreement is in place.

Since data must not be stored on a separate computer or in personal folders, the IT Unit provides access to project folders, in which data can be stored during the project and after it is finished. Data that is to be prepared for archiving must be well described. This data must also be saved in persistent formats that are not dependent on any specific software. At the Lund University Staff Pages, you can find useful information about archiving of research documents.
