Archiving Research Data

Research data are public documents at the authority and must often be archived by the institution. During the retention period (usually 10 or 17 years), which begins at project completion, typically in connection with the final reporting of the project, data is stored in LU's system for research data storage. After that, any documents that are not to be preserved permanently are disposed of, which is why it is important to organize the folder contents in a clear manner.

On Lund University's Staff Pages, there is information about the archiving of research documents.

See in particular the Faculties of Humanities and Theology's "Guidelines for the preservation and disposal of research documents at the Faculties of Humanities and Theology" under the heading "The records management plan and specific disposal and preservation plans".
