Archiving Research Data

According to Swedish law, research data must be archived by the university. At this time, Lund University does not have a central technical solution for e-archiving. Local solutions are used until a central agreement is in place. Since data must not be stored on a separate computer or in personal folders, the IT Unit provides access to archive folders, to which data can be moved when the project is finished. Data that is to be archived must be well described, read more about this on our page about organising data. This data must also be saved in persistent formats that are not dependent on any specific software. At the Lund University Staff Pages, you can find useful information about what must be archived and what can be disposed of.
