A data management plan is designed to help you identify what choices you may need to make, and what steps are appropriate to take, in order to ensure that the curation of data is efficient and legal throughout the project. Project members and other stakeholders should be able to use the plan to understand and follow the project’s process. We give an introduction to data management planning, focusing on managing personal data, publication strategies, copyright, metadata and archiving. We will also take a look at the available resources and support in place to assist with the planning and management of data during the project’s lifecycle.
