About the HT Libraries

The HT Libraries provide services for those studying, researching, or teaching at the Joint Faculties of Humanities and Theology.

The Libraries

The HT Libraries consist of three physical units: the Asia-, LUX- and the SOL Library. The HT Libraries also provide services for the faculties' staff and students located at Campus Helsingborg.

Asia Library

Asia Library, the foremost library of its kind in Sweden, was founded in August 1999. The library has a national responsibility to provide contemporary documentation about East and South-East Asia.

LUX Library

The LUX building and the LUX Library opened in August 2014. Then the Centre for Theology and Religious Studies and the Departments of Archaeology, of Arts and Cultural Sciences, of Archaeology and Ancient History, and of Philosophy, moved in there together. The five HT Libraries connected to the departments' former building became one - the LUX Library.

SOL Library

SOL Library opened in 2004, when six smaller libraries joined together in the new building. In 2006, when the Centre for Languages and Literature department was formed, two additional libraries joined and a collection on East Asian languages was included. SOL Library is also the main library for those studying at the Department of Communication and Media, as well as the Department of Educational Sciences.

We aim to work closely with the Joint Faculties of Humanities and Theology, and to provide subject centred support for faculty research and learning. Click on Student, Researcher and Teacher, to read more specifically about the support we offer you. Having a pedagogic and service-minded approach, as well as being integrated in the activities of the Joint Faculties of Humanities and Theology, form the foundation of our work. Our collections consist of printed and electronic resources. At our libraries, computers, study areas, group rooms and quiet reading rooms are available at your disposal.

At the Joint Faculties of Humanities and Theology website you can read the HT Libraries' annual reports (only in Swedish).
