In June, a new library system, LUBcat, will replace our current system, Lovisa. During the transition our services will be limited.
Borrowing and ordering printed books and journals
- ORDERING BOOKS AND JOURNALS: During the period 25/5–25/6, it will not be possible to order books or journals in our catalogue Lovisa. This applies both to orders from depots and from one library to another. The order buttons will disappear at 5 pm the 24th of May.
- RENEWING LOANS AND QUEUEING FOR BOOKS: During the period 7–25/6, you will not be able to renew loans or queue for books.
- BORROWING BOOKS: The services for borrowing books at the libraries at Lund University will be limited from the 7/6, when Lovisa is shut down, until 25/6, when the new system, LUBcat, is up and running. At the HT Libraries we are planning to make our books available for borrowing. The different libraries' lending routines may vary (at the University Library, for example, you will not be able to borrow books), check their web pages or the web page for all libraries at Lund university for more information. In order to be able to borrow books during the transition period you need to be a registered library user (have a library card) before Lovisa is shut down, as we won't be able to register new patrons then.
E-books and e-journals
Our electronic books, journals, and databases will be available as usual via LUBsearch.
You will be able to order interlibrary loans as usual, both via Libris and our order form, but we will not be able to handle your orders while the new system is installed (7-25/6). The result of this is that you will have to wait longer than usual for your books in June. You will be able to return your interlibrary loans, but you will not be able to renew any of them during the period 7-25/6.
Extended loan period for textbooks
Textbooks (= category Kursbok) checked out on the 21st of May or later, do not have to be returned until the 4th of September.
